Mr.C.F.Jensen,Mr.R.Clausen and yours truly, took a little roadtrip to Sweden,-The anual dynoday/engine seminar at JP Motorsport was "calling"...Nice october weather,lots of cars on the dyno,people from Sweden,Norway,Finland,Denmark and Belgium,last but not least,-our host,Johannes Persson, really made our day in Helsingborg :)

New product from JPM,-the "Raptor Venturies"

Roller throttle bodies,yet another JPM product,on the "Screaming Mouse" car..

"The Man" himself, Mr. Johannes Persson, at the flowbench,-testing the stock IDA venturi system vs. the Raptor venturies.A gain of 19 cfm@24" in favour of the JPM product was at hand ;)

A dynoday visitor,-The NICEST type 4 I've ever seen !!!!

Xmas came early for this happy customer :)..Mr.Riishede bought himself some JPM goodies !

Mr.Kirketerp has bought a new engine for his "dog",-this time a 2,9 type 4 (all new parts).Scat crank,Pauter rods,914 heads,Web cam,N.O.S. engine case (pretty rare these days),IDA's,etc.. Parts are currently being prepped for abuse on the strip ;)

About 20 years ago, a guy from Aalborg DK,Brian Larsen,hit the street with this "Mars Red" type 1.
At that time it was one of the nicest lookers around,-polished Wolfrace rims,Cobra seats etc..
The car was taken out of "circulation" in the mid 90's, and have since then been stored away in different garages.
Brian's older brother ,Per Larsen,who was out looking for a solid VW project,now has "rescued"
the vehicle and started the rebuild :)

A "sh#tload" of new brake/suspension/steering parts, etc. etc. and Per should be ready to go !

After this cars app. 16-17 years of hibernation, I'm looking forward to see it coming back to life ! :)

The calender says springtime,but it's still rather cold here in DK..Inside Mr.Elnef's workshop it's gettin' pretty hot though...John is puttin' a lot of time/efford/money in his racecar right now.Frontend of the car is almost ready (bolt-lengths will be adjusted ;) ),-new lightweight brakes and special made rims are just some of the goodies...

Holy Moly !! Earlier this year,a shipment of pure-blooded VW-racecars from US arrived in Denmark,-The lucky new owners are Rasmus and Christian,-I've seen the cars "live",and "believe you me"..They are DAMN fine !!!! But,but...just as I post these pictures, a new deal is struck !! The "Still Fatal" car will soon be in Denmark too :) John (Elnef) decided to retire his trusty old buggy and try his 300 hp N/A type 4 engine in this beast instead...Seems to be an exiting 2010 race season for the Danish guys !! Not VW or Porsche, but still cool as h.ll..!! :) Mr.P.Iversen is currently "massaging" the body of this NSU,owned by Mr.L.Christensen, back into shape..Spiess style ;) The entire NSU body recieved a chemical paint stripping "bath" in Germany,..not a drop of old paint/filler left anywhere...extremely nice !!!!! Owner is re-building all mecanical stuff himself...very high standart and level of detailing !! :)

Mr.Elnef "broke" his gearbox last saturday afternoon, during a 1/4 mile event at Thisted Airport,-and traveling to Norway for some r/r and of course, SCC at Gardermoen Raceway, the following monday,things were getting a "bit" hectic !! But John desided to give the repair a go,and thanks to a certain Mr.Dalsgaard :) and some new "internal" parts...the buggy was ready for a testrun sunday night !!!

Danish nostalgia....

20 years ago,-the 15.october 1989,Mr.Dalsgaard took his racecar to a small track in Sweden.His "crew" was this bunch of VW guys from the Aalborg area :) From the left: Joern Dalsgaard,Phong(?),Keld Heilesen,Frank Andersen,Peter ("Bent Smoerhaar")and Thomas Noergaard.The "seeblau" notchback was owned by Mr.Hejlesen, and the "Condagrün 2616" Ghia belonged to the guy who took these pictures,Mr.Morten Iversen....Brazil-wheels,zoomtube and all :) :)

Mr.Iversen checkin' out the exhaust ( to pass the noise inspection...2 clamped-on perforated sodacans !!! ) ;)while Mr.Andersen is busy on the front end of the racecar...

1/8 mile dragrace at Holeby,DK....Mr.Elnef once again took the win in the N/A RWD class with an E.T : 6,91...Congrats !! :)

Type 4 power...again !!!!!

At the second round of "Biltema-Cup",Thisted Airport,DK, Mr.Elnef and Mr.Kirketerp both obtained new personal records ! Mr.Elnef drove his 3 liter type 4 buggy in the 10's and Mr.Kirketerp whipped his 2,6 liter type 4 engined "Black Bulldog" to an 11 sec. ride !!!

Today at the "MIB-DYNODAY", Mr.Elnef broke yet another barrier....The N/A 2979 ccm type 4 engine pulled 300,7 hp/325 Nm at Mr.Laulund's dyno !!!!!!!! Dyno-chart is being published on this blog later ;)....more pictures from MIB : Click HERE.

Danish company PFA needed a good lookin' classic car for a newspaper ad., and Mr. Riishede came to the rescue,-some modelguy posin' with the Karmann owned by Kim :)....Just can't beat the profile of a type 14 Ghia Sedan !!!

Thisted Dragway,-First dragrace of the 2009 season,-unglued track,-cold and "windy" as he**...
Mr.Kirketerp and his "Dog" took the "Real Street"class win ( 12 sec.breakout) by running low 12's all day...Congrats :) This event was kind of historic in DK,-the largest number of aircooled VeeDubs to go head-to-head against the V8 guys ever :) Link : Click HERE !!

Well,springtime equals dynotime in this part of Denmark.Mr.Elnef was the first one out, and this time Mr.Kirketerp let go of his "Black Bulldog" (VUF-parts)....233 hp/250 hp w/o fan ! Not to bad output for this type 4 engine with very conservative,unwelded 412S heads ;)
