Danish Nostalgia
Back in the early 80's, some guys from Herning,DK, tried to organize some street/dragracing. Two of the aircooled enthusiasts who attended this event was Mr.Keld Hejlesen ( top picture, 150 hp.2,0 l.type 4 engine) and Mr. Frank Andersen( ? hp.2,?l.type 4 engine) both guys from Aalborg. The IDA's ( now 51,3 mm.) from the split is owned by Mr.Elnef, and the filters and manifolds "lurkes" in my garage somewhere... ;) Pictures from Herning back then, courtesy of Mr.R.Lokdam. ( scanning by Mr.Riishede :) )

Light beige 275....
For several years ,Mr.M.Berg,Copenhagen, has been in search of an oval model vw. The car had to be something special, and Michael didn't count on finding it here in DK....But suddenly this gem came up for sale on the internet. There IT was !!!!! This june 54,totally "unscrewed" oval, had been hidin' in the back of a dealership for the last 25 years. The car is now getting the "berg" treatment : 1776 IDA engine, gasburners ( no repro !! ),correct taillights,etc.etc.....This is going to be one VERY nice looker !! :)

Here's to you, Mr.Tipsmark :)
Mr.G.Tipsmark wrote something on his superb blog :http://www.life-and-cars-of-gustavt.blogspot.com/ which made me think of this old picture. Could this be some of the famous elusive parts ?? :)
