Comming back to life...Part II

Well,-for the first time in app.17 years, this vehicle is "road-legal" again !  Mr. P. Larsen called me today,to let me know, that the first cruise was a blast with no troubles at all :)The car did put up quite a fight over the last months though,-it was'nt going to provide the owners with more fun in streets apparently :) But anyway,-here it is !! Lookin' good with the black'n'white historically correct license plates.  click !

MECA,-Malmö

 The Bug-Run team came up with a new thing this year,-an strictly aircooled gathering at the MECA dragstrip in Malmö,Sweden.The orange car above is Mr.Herrlander/Kenneth S.(?) new ride.A former UK car I'm told..

Leichtbau Panel !!

Got these pictures from yet another "Griebel Leichtbau Lenses" user ;) This -65 Panel is build/owned by Mr.Niklas Tuominen,Finland.The van was put on a severe diet of weightloss and horse-power adding, resulting in a scary fast race split. A 911 engine,trans,brakes and rear chassis is what makes the vehicle "tick" !! :)

Finally ! :) After many years of  parts hunting and restoring, this rare type 4 is "street-worthy" again. Owner,Mr.Frank Kristensen,Copenhagen,did put a lot of work and effort into the build.As I recall from earlier "spy"-photos,-the floorpan,engine,trans.etc. is just as nice as the outside of the car. Looking forward to some live tire-kicking ;)

The Berg reconstruction

 And here we go...painted and ready for a little journey to the "assembly-line" on Fyn :) Lookin' mighty fine,Sir !!

"José De Murga Rodriques" or "Langeberg goes to Spain"

 Mr. Jan "Langeberg" Christiansen hooked up his auto-trailer and drove several thousand kilometers down to the sunny Spain, to buy a new project. The rare 52 Karmann convertible on the pictures had been put up for sale by Mr.Rodriques,the gentleman on the picture above. Jan hauled the vehicle all the way back to DK,and the "de-rusting" process is allready in progress. Remembering the "Langeberg Lowlight" Ghia project,-no doubt this will be a very nice follow-up ! :)

The Berg reconstruction..

At this moment, the Berg oval is getting the final rounds in the painters spraybooth The assembly will take place during this summer, so we probably will see this beautyfull looker back on the streets in summer 2013 :)

Tooltime at M-Flow's...

 Mr.Elnef and yours truly,visited Mr.Jensen(M-flow),who recently bought a new alu-welding machine.Got one of my type 4 heads welded a bit,-and then chips were flying ;)

Mr.Elnef in action at the lathe,-one of his special experimental "SHO" camshafts get's the treatment. Semi-secret brush tool applied....

 Once in a while,I let something "non aircooled" find it's way to this blog. This time I'll present an extremely cool Oettinger engine,waiting for Mr.J.Forman,Copenhagen.This little gem should make the mrk.1 Golf fly !! ;)
